New Club Forming in Lincoln, NE

When I was first approached to join Cosmopolitan International ("Cosmos"), I told them to ask my husband to join. You see, just like you I was busy with everything else in life. I was working full-time, had two children (one who has diabetes), was married and already led my church altar society, along with other activities that I regularly volunteered for. As you can guess since I am writing to you now I went to the first meeting anyway. Am I glad I did!

I have found the Cosmopolitan International organization to be a great place to meet new people, from different parts of the world, raise money for a cause that I believe strongly in, raise awareness for the illness of diabetes, and just in general to have a good time.

This club may or may not be for you, and this may or may not be the right time in your life to "start a new adventure", but I am asking you right now to say yes.

Say yes to learning more about Cosmos.
Say yes to helping people learn about diabetes.
Say yes to becoming the person you want to be.

I am honored to have been asked to be the charter president for the new LincolnCosmopolitan Club and I look forward to meeting you at one of our next few meetings and introducing you to a wonderful organization! We will be meeting each Tuesday in the month of April, 6-7pm in the meeting room at Hy-Vee on 84th & Holdrege, Lincoln. My direct email is

With gratitude,

Julie Brezenski

  Welcome to the Cornbelt Federation...

The "Cornbelt Federation" is the regional designation for the thirteen clubs of Cosmopolitan International which are located in the Heartland of America, Nebraska and Iowa.

The parent organization,
Cosmopolitan International, is a chartered not-for-profit civic service organization that was founded in 1918. It consists of some 60 clubs located throughout the United States and Canada with a total membership of nearly 1,800 cosmos.

While Cosmopolitan's principle effort is directed at the fight against diabetes, its member clubs also support community service projects and charitable causes in the communities where they are located.

Take the time to view the video at the left. This is a testimonial from a woman in Grand Island, NE who has a young daughter with diabetes, and she found the Cosmopolitan club in Grand Island because she wanted to send her daughter to summer camp but could not afford the cost. The Cosmopolitan club picked up the cost and her daughter has been going to summer camp ever since. She and her husband decided that they could do more to help other parents with diabetes children by becoming members of the local Cosmopolitan club. This is what a being a member of Cosmopolitan International is all about. As someone recently said, this is where the rubber meets the road!
